Mia Rappel is a practicing visual artist working primarily in collage, sculptural installation and digital storytelling, her work aims to articulate through form, movement, texture and colour. Mia also works in the social sector devising and facilitating public art projects and has worked extensively as a visual designer for retail, interior and outdoor spaces.
Mia completed a Bachelor of Visual and Performing Arts at The VCA in Melbourne 1999.
Over the past 20 years Mia has created works for council, corporate, retail and private clients, including Husk, e.g etal, Adidas, Yarra Ranges Shire, Melton Shire and City of Greater Dandenong. Her exhibitions include From Nature at Gasworks, Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe, Art Town at Chapel off Chapel and The Passage at Carbon Black. She has been an Artist in Residence at Baile en el Aire Spain, La Muse France and Police Point in Point Nepean National Park, Australia.
